Our Story
Hunr furniture was founded in 2018 by two woodworking enthusiasts with a passion for unique designs, reliable products, and environmental conservation.
The core belief at Hunr is that in order to be true to one’s craft, one has to put in the time and effort, with genuine curiosity and vigor, to create a product that can be cherished for generations.
We source quality materials locally and sustainably and craft them into unique products with attention to detail, strength, and function.
Our solid-wood furniture and accessories are designed and manufactured in-house at our high-production workshop in Karachi, Pakistan to ensure quality and longevity.
Our Craftspeople
Our biggest investment has been our people. We believe if we focus on continuous learning and investing in our people, it will reflect in our products.
We have a two-year apprenticeship program for woodworkers which all our craftspeople complete.
Each product is built by a craftsperson from start to finish, with a great deal of attention and care.
Our Promise
We promise to plant 4 trees for every furniture item we sell.
For our products, we use sturdy trees that are at the end of their life cycle due to old age. We want to play our part in the fight against deforestation and environmental degradation.
At the rate the world is moving, conservation is just not enough. We believe we need to work towards environmental regeneration with permaculture and other safe farming practices to help secure this world for the future.
Product Philosophy
We design our products around our abilities, materials available localy, and our customers needs. Our production facility is specialized with working in Solid wood and is capable of converting raw lumber in to end products. Including shapping, joint work, laminating boards, and spray application of protective finish. We exclusively work in local wood which we are able to procure locally at a competive rate. Our product designs are inspired by mid century and minimal concepts in design.
